Our Approach

Xi'an Guide does not collect, store, track, or share any personal information about our visitors. We believe travel guides should help you plan your trip — not harvest your data. Here is exactly how we handle the small amount of information that passes through our site.

What We Do Not Collect

No cookies. We do not set any cookies on your device — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for advertising.
No analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible, or any other tracking service. We have no idea how many people visit this site — and we are fine with that.
No advertising trackers. We run zero ads. There are no Facebook pixels, no Google Ads tags, and no retargeting scripts on this site.
No IP logging. Our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs for security and operational purposes, but we do not access, analyze, or retain those logs ourselves. We never associate them with individual visitors.
No personal data collection. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other personal information. There are no sign-up forms, no newsletter subscriptions, and no user accounts on this site.

Email Communication

When you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include in the message. Here is what happens with it:

Every price on this site — from Terracotta Warriors tickets ($18) to biangbiang noodles ($2-$4) — is listed because we want you to budget accurately, not because we profit from the listing. We do not accept sponsored content, paid reviews, or freebies from any business we write about.

Our pages link to other websites for your convenience — official attraction sites, transport operators, and trusted travel resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before sharing any personal information with them.

Children's Privacy

This site is a general-audience travel guide. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal information at all, this is a natural outcome of our approach rather than a special policy.
